I just got a great article from Cory Miller, our Mortgage Broker.  Anyone who is thinking about buying a home this year may want to read this.  It is very interesting. 

Basically, the tax credit and other incentives to buy will end after the first quarter of 2010.  This means that in the long run, you could actually be paying more for a home!

I just read the report from the Orlando Regional Realtor Association's latest market statistics.  It states that members of the Realtor association closed 59.31% more homes in 2009 over 2008!  A total of 23,705 homes were sold in 2009 compared to 14,880 in 2008.  Unfortunately, the median price in 2009 fell 35% to $130,000 compared to 2008's $200,000.  

We can certainly attest to the fact that our office was much busier in 2009 versus 2008.  We also noticed a significant drop in the prices for 2009.   I hope this year's sales numbers are up over 2009.  It would be nice to see our median price stabilize rather than drop again but we will have to see what this year brings!

I just took a class about how you can buy a home using your IRA. This is something that not many people know is a possibility but it has been going on for years, it is just not widely known. What a great opportunity if you have the ability to do it.
